Martin Luther King's Day Gift Ideas

Good Morning New Yorkers! We're back from our trip to Holland with plenty of new design ideas that we'll be sharing with you during the coming months. Many of the design ideas were for Spring designs, so those will be coming as the weather starts warming up. 

Today I was thinking about what would make a great Martin Luther King's Day gift. Flowers are, of course, always the perfect gift for any occasion...especially from a New York florist, but which arrangements should we be sharing with our friends as ideas. I wanted something that would share the ideals of Dr. King. Hope, tenacity, peace, and fairness were the ideals that stood out to me. For hope, I decided to go with a colorful design of New York flowers that include plenty of bright colors.

I love the look of this arrangement and when I look at it, I see hope for better things to come and the brightness and layers always bring a smile to my face.

More Than Just Flowers

Okay let's be honest here, flowers are beautiful. They make us happy, they smell great, and they remind us to appreciate what we have in life. At Roses and Blooms, we've been designing New York flowers and arrangements for over 30 years. However, we recently decided to expand and begin offering our customers other gift ideas as well. Why you may ask? Because we believe that when you are sitting still, you are actually moving backwards. Our new "small garden area"

So in addition to our Ecri and DutZ accessory collections (which we will highlight at a future time for you) we also have our new "small garden area." This area has ideas to bring a modern garden into every New York home. Right now we are highlighting out DutZ garden balls, which add a splash of color indoors or out and our various echeveria plants which are planted in differing soils, sands, and rocks to create multiple looks to fit any interior. We are excited to bring this garden idea to our store in Midtown Manhattan and are always looking for new ideas.
